DESCRIPTION:
Clocks- 5 (Five) Chelsea Course Clocks: Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, for U.S. Navy, "Zig Zag 14E" course clocks, 8 day, time and course signal, spring-driven balance wheel movements in black metal and phenolic cases with top-hinged bezels, silvered dials, hack switch, and center seconds. When connected and coordinated, these clocks sent a signal to the ship's steering servos to automatically add variation to the ship's course, thus reducing the chances of being hit by a torpedo.
CONDITION:
Clocks show wear commensurate with age and use. One with broken glass, and another missing its glass. Silvered dials range from fair to very good. All clocks tick, but none were tested long term.
